Classification
Diagnosis
Corallum forming small colonies by polystomadeal intratentacular budding, corallites linked in linear series; branches flabellate; epitheca absent; costae finely granular; septa in Pourtalès plan; columella trabecular.
Comparisons
Similar to Lobopsammia but having polystomadeal intratentacular budding.
Remarks
This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Four species known, all fossil (see Blake, 1968).
