Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Albian of Madagascar (Majunga).

The holotype of the type species is housed at MNHN (Paris) under M05164.

Classification

Remarks

By its skeletal structures, the holotype of the type species of Pseudofavites Alloiteau very closely corresponds to the ones seen in the type material of Ovalastrea d'Orbigny. Therefore, their synonmy is suggested. For more information on Ovalastrea, see Remarks under Plesiofavia Alloiteau.
