Type Locality: Middle Miocene: Touraine, France

Type species known from only one specimen.

Classification

Diagnosis

Calices arranged in a plocoid manner; theca costate; Pourtalès plan present, but higher order septa anastomotic; columella well developed, ribboned; paliform lobes present.

Comparisons

Differs from Dendrophyllia in its plocoid growth form

Remarks

This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Four exclusively fossil species.
